FRUIT WINE? WHAT DOES IT TASTE LIKE?
Raven Hollow fruit wines are made 100% from fruit - not a flavored grape-based wine - and we use no artificial colors or flavors. Our fruit is sustainably farmed next door at Kosinski Farms, picked at the peak of freshness and delivered to the winery where we ferment it to a refreshing beverage. The tasting notes of each wine is a direct reflection of the flavor of the fruit. Our wines range between 2%-3.5% residual sugar, but our wine is surprisingly not too sweet; instead they are nicely balanced with the natural acidity of the fruit. Our fruit wines are light, crisp and refreshing!
WHAT IS FRUIT WINE? AREN’T GRAPES FRUIT?
Yes, grapes are fruit but ‘fruit wine’ refers to any wine fermented from a fruit other than grapes. Here at Raven Hollow Winery, our fruit wines are made 100% from the fruit that’s on the label with no artificial flavors or colors. All that refreshing deliciousness is completely natural!
WHEN CAN I BUY FRUIT WINE?
We sell our fruit wines all year round! All of our fruit wines are made at the peak of freshness…even in the winter months! Some fruits, like strawberries, also make a great wine after they’ve been frozen. Once picked, some of our strawberries are flash-frozen making it possible for us to make fresh, delicious fruit wine even when it’s chilly outside.
HOW DO I SERVE FRUIT WINE?
Raven Hollow fruit wine is best served well-chilled. Poured over ice is a refreshing way to drink our wines, as the fruity characteristics in each varietal continue to develop as the ice slowly melts. Enjoy fruit wine however you’d like - stemmed and stemless wine glasses, mason jars, champagne glasses all work well. Our fruit wines also mix deliciously into a wide variety of cocktails - try mixing with your favorite mixer, seltzer, fresh fruit or fresh herbs! Our fruit wines have an alcohol content of 11%-13% ABV, so please enjoy them responsibly.
HOW LONG CAN I KEEP A BOTTLE OF FRUIT WINE?
Fruit wines are meant to be enjoyed within a year of purchase. Once opened, we recommend keeping the bottle refrigerated, tightly corked and drinking it within the first three days for optimal freshness.
